Reader Question:
I’ve been matchmaking someone while having grown rather attracted to the girl. We in fact dated last summer at the same time, but our issues is long-distance. She actually is had terrible encounters with cross country and says she doesn’t want to achieve that once more. 2nd, she is perhaps not over her ex-boyfriend.
I enjoy their and feel a stronger connection. She says she wants myself, also. I want to continue talking-to the woman but only if it will lead toward a relationship. In addition, I need their in all honesty about her experience of the woman ex of course she has intentions to see him.
Must I simply give up on this since she’s telling myself she doesn’t want to stay a long-distance union?

Dr. Wendy Walsh’s response:
i am talking about this carefully, but how more straightforward can the students girl be? She is said she doesn’t want a long-distance connection and she still has feelings for her ex-boyfriend. Nonetheless it appears like you aren’t entirely assuming it.
Perhaps you are mislead by the woman activities â that also includes spending some time with you and perhaps conversing with you frequently. But I’d look closely at the woman words here. My personal impulse informs me she is maybe not playing difficult to get.
Why give her the benefits of the interest and friendship if she’sn’t getting them by reciprocating?
