I have a Dell N laptop. Windows 7 SP1 64 bit runs absolutely fine on it. Neither Dell nor Broadcom have solution for it. Broadcom’s website is actually totally confusing and useless. I was hoping Windows 10 would itself provide a work around for it and it is limiting a large number of users like me to avail the free upgrade option :.

NIC card up to date. I have presently removed the adapter from the system however since the system has not been re-scanned by MS, the notification still indicates the Broadcom issue.

Since de-installation of the adapter, I have attempted to manually download W10, as I did with another Dell XPS not using the Broadcom adapter, but with no luck. Everything works fine on my system.

Eve the broadcom wifi. Dont know why Windows 10 wasnt getting updated on windows 7. However as I did a clean install, my Windows wont get activated : I will now re-install windows 7 and then wait for the update to happen :.

Hi friends. I’m having this problem and it is very irritating. I’ve uninstalled the Broadcom adapteg ago and have been using Atheros instead. I have internet access but it is still displaying this message even though Broadcom is nowhere to be seen on my laptop, already checked the device manager. Was this reply helpful?
